Online reporting can be used for things such as lost property, telephone harassment, vandalism and theft.

Upon completion of this report process you will:
- See the words: “Your report has been submitted.”
- Be given a tracking number for your report.
- Be able to print a temporary copy of the report for your records.

- All cases filed using the Citizen Reporting System will be reviewed.
- Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
- Filing a false police report is a crime.

Online reporting frequently asked questions
A known suspect is when you or someone else knows the person or where to find the person who committed the crime or the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect(s) were in. If you have known suspect information, please call our non-emergency number 206-685-8973 to report the incident.
If the incident took place outside of UW Police’s jurisdiction, please call the police department for that area.
If your incident is an emergency, call 911. If it is a non-emergency, call 206-685-8973.
