Sexual Assault

Seattle Police detectives are investigating a sexual assault that occurred May 26, 2017 during daylight hours in an alley in the 5100 block of Ravenna Avenue, N.E. The victim does not know her attacker. The suspect remains at large, but is described as follows:

White male in his 60’s, 6’2″ – 6’3″, stocky build, pasty complexion including reddish cheeks, large nose and hairy forearms. His hair is described as gray in color, bald on top with longer hair in the back and on the sides. He has a full gray moustache and beard about 2 to 3 inches in length. The suspect was described as smelling of body odor, alcohol and tobacco.

* Perpetrators are solely responsible for their behavior.
* Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help.
* Sexual Assault is a crime and a violation of the UW Student Conduct Code.

. To report the crime, notify police immediately.
. Call a friend, a family member, or advocate who can be with you and give you support.
. Get medical care as soon as possible.
. Preserve all physical evidence of the assault.
